Roof rack.....wracking my brain over Yakima

I did wind up with Yakima. The round bars can handle much higher weight, the system can be configured infinitely, and there's a fully-stocked dealer with great prices just 10 minutes away.

The wind fairing in front was a necessity - without it my car sounded like it was in a tornado.

I used a 15 cu-ft box from Sears (mfr'd by Thule) which I had to adapt with u-bolts to accommodate the S70's short 32-inch spread between bars. Really, Volvo could have put the pin receptacles closer to the A and C pillars for at least 36 inches, if not more.

My usually refined car takes on a jaunty look with the rack up top.
