dust = quiet + cool S70

Regardless of what anyone tells you, the softer the pad the quieter (and cooler) the brakes. In other words dust = quiet.

Very often a compromise package will be acceptable, a reduced dust pad with slotted or x-drilled rotors might make for a low-dust environment where the brakes hum a little louder, or perhaps growl under hard braking, but (maybe, hopefully) not squeal.

If you searched the board on this topic, you'll find some are happy with such a package - but the preponderance will report they've reverted to OEM because the dust was ultimately preferable to the noise. (I'd be one of the latter.)
