Low Pressure Valve for A/C 850 1994

I would like to know where the low pressure valve is locate on my 850 Turbo's A/C? At Volvo they said it was located next to the firewall but there is only a sensor visible. Obviously I am trying to recharge my A/C. Volvo also said the sensor was not the low pressure valve. I noted that the high pressure valve was behind the right headlight and is consistent with my Haynes manual but it does not show the low pressure side. Any guidance would be appreciated!!
