Strange intermittent vibration S70 1999

I have been alerting the dealer tech to a loud vibration/rattle I get on the left front end sometimes when I am stopped in gear. It dissappears if I shift to neutral. test drove with the tech and heard it once, however they could not replicate the noise. A tech took the car home overnight and claims never to have heard the noise. My greatest fear is that they will find the problem a week after extended warranty runs out as dealers usually do! does anyone have any ideas?
