It has a documented procedure from Volvo for this.
Note that resetting the service light does not reeset OBD.
They are independent. It may be the check engine light was on
and OBD was reset to clear that. (The service light and check
engine light are often confused -- the service light is just a
courtesey reminder and is triggered by milage or time only.)
You can also search on "ODB drive reset" to find other posts.
The bad news is some people have reported following the procedure
listed in the referenced post (above) did not complete all the
OBD tests.
