Transmission Service Required Light S80 1999

Well, I had several Volvos and this last S80 T6 is my last. I have it serviced every interval and at the last one a little leak suggested a power steering rack change ($1200), Turbo seal replacement ($450) and an intermittant ABS module ($860); needless to say I didn't do any as I'm attempting to unload my first Volvo disappointment and a big one.

Well, I just had my Volvo serviced and I got the "Transmission Service Required" light. I checked the fluid level when hot and it was low at the cold level so I added fluid. Color and smell of the fluid is fine and it shifts properly, but the light doesn't seem to go out. You know, they should have checked the fluid level.

Question: If the low fluid triggered this light, should it reset on it's own or does it trigger a fault code that can only be reset by the shop?

Also, I saw another posting which said Transmission Service Urgent, is "Urgent" really another warning level?

Help is appreciated.
