ok. the caliper bolts. The red coating is probably anti-seize gunk.

I reused my original bolts and haven't had a problem. I'm sure its just an added safety measure, but one that isn't followed by any other vehicle I've changed calipers on (and I've changed more than a few). So I wouldn't worry about it (and I'm not worrying about it on mine - still loving the zimmerman/mintex combo, by the way).
