V70 interior materials V70-XC70

In just about every new-generation V70 I have been in ('01-on up), the fit of the glovebox door is not very good at all. Is this because of the design? If so, Volvo needs to do something about it- I've also seen poorly-fitting glovebox doors in S60s and S80s. Also, the materials used for the door pulls in S60s/V70s are really cheap-looking.
