Thinking of a new S80 S80

I am thinking of buying a new (2004) S80-2.9. The car looks and drives quite well but I would like to know about reliability or any other points that may influence my decision (Saab 95 or Volvo S80). Anyone know if the transmission problems that I keep seeing on the brickboard website carries over to the 2004 year? My 1995 850 turbo has never left me stranded but it has given me more trouble than I would like to buy into again. All thoughts are welcome.
