Reset 'Check Engine' Light 850

Hi,

My '94 850 "Check Engine" light came on after my mechanic replaced
the MAF sensor (mass air flow sensor $280 plus 2/hr labor) last week.
He couldn't reset the light at that time because his computer was in
repair too. He got the computer back yesterday.

This morning I brought the car to reset the "Check Engine" light.
But my mechanic said he couldn't reset the light. For some reason
the computer in my car won't accept commands from his computer.
He also mentioned that he couldn't manually turn off the "Check Engine"
light either.

Any ideas of tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Alan
