Another intermittent abs light.... 850

My 97 850 has developed the intermittent abs light problem. I've looked over all the sensors on the wheels, ensuring they are making a good clean connection. Talked to the dealer, they want about $125 just to look at it. My thoughts are perhaps that there is a loose connection? Where is the main abs computer located? Is it the module attached to the brake reservoir? I've read that it could be the $400 computer.
I prefer to keep the abs working, but can't see having to spend $400 for that. Volvo should fess up and fix this problem. The car in question has just 93k miles on it.
