tricky CMP sensor 850

I had an intermittant no-start problem a while back. Fuel and spark were fine. I check the codes (it's a '96 so OBDII) and had no codes whatsoever. I reluctantly forked over the $160 for a new camshaft position sensor even though i had no code for it. Turns out it fixed the problem. This by the way, was the 2nd sensor in 4 years. Word to the wise, don't always trust OBD codes, or lack thereof. Thanks to the great folks on this site for thier insight!
