Reliability of 2004 S80 S80

Last week I posted a message asking about the reliability of the 2004 S80, particulalry the transmission. I confronted my dealer about reported transmission problems and guess what, they said the problems had been fixed. Now, its kind of hard to imagine that Volvo has NOT corrected a problem of this magnitude in 5 years, but then again, GM and Ford knowingly build cars with exploding gas tanks and doors that lock shut in a rear end, so who knows? Once agin, I ask, does anyone know about the 2004 S80? Should I believe my dealer? Where might I get more info?
