recurrent wheel alignment problems? V70-XC70

My car (01 V70 T5) has experienced frequent sloppiness in front due to loose stabilizer links. This has happened at least 6 times (50k on car) and required alignment each time. Also, tire wear has been extreme. What I discovered when in the shop the last time is that there are bushings as part of that gear (I am sorry I cannot describe better) that wear and become very loose, causing the stabilizer links to fail. The nechanic was able to stick the end of a screwdriver in the bushing and wiggle it around, causing the wheel to wobble. Since the bushings and stabilizer ends were replaced together on the last visit 2 months ago, things have been fine. Best wishes.
