S70 Rear parcel shelf speaker repair S70 1998

Hi all, following on from recent posts regarding the 'farting' sounds of the rear speakers with sand/grit lodged in the voice coil I have successfully repaired them both. It involves carefully removing the tweeters & cones from the speaker frames, cleaning out the sand and reglueing the cones back. If there is interest from the board I will post a website of the step by step process. Deep bass now issues forth from the rear speakers, and as a bonus my 12 yr old son who observed my working on them has seen that not everything that is 'broke' needs to be thrown away, and is suitably impressed with my handiwork.

Cheers, Phil
