T5 died maybee S70

Hi all had a slight problem my 1999 S70 T5 91,000 miles manual transmission, The car started to make a light ticking noise over 2-3 days then here came the problem!! Loud rattle and sounding very noisy, all i can explain is that there is something loose or come off in the sump,The car has just had a service by myself I checked the oil and its at the right level and is clean i know a fair deal about cars and its not the main bearings. The car does start but this noise is there and it does not idle good, i have not run the car like this as i had the car towed as soon as i heard the problem. Does anyone know if anything can come loose covers etc in the bottom end of the engine or any other areas to look at before i pull the sump off the car and waste loads of time as i have heard that its a tricky task??

Ps car had new cambelt fitted about 2 months ago

Many thanks bigbird76
