Tire Time Again C70

My Pirelli P6000 Sport Veloce's are wearing out (22,000 miles) and I want a set of the Continental ContiExtremeContacts before Winter. Trouble is they are hard to find (225-50-VR16). Tire-Rack will not have them in-stock until at least the November timeframe. Something about demand exceeding supply! At a price of $86, they are hard to beat. They are Ultra High-Performance directionals so, the expected tread-life may be a question. The ratings so far look pretty impressive. The P6000 really doesn't get along with snow.
