How were A/S tires (was Tire Time Again C70

John,
I have a pair of new Pilot Sport A/S brand new, considering buying two more, how did you like the polit sport A/S in winter, and what kind of winter did/do you have?

Some background: I have my original Pilots on still, but hit a hole on I70 at 75+ mph, so had rim fixed and bought two Pilot Sport A/S to try. Day after another C70 owner here in Denver offered 4 worn Pilots, so I took the two best and put them on keeping the A/Ss on a shelf. I am debating buying two more A/Ss for winter, but don't know if they will do okay in Denver winters. We are generally sunny and 40 for the high, but get 2-4 inch snows that evaporate two days later (can watch it steam away, really cool). I ski inthe mountains all winter and there are a couple passes in the mountains I take, so still thinking of using studded tires on 15"steel wheels.

So, curious again what kind of winter traction you get in what weather, and ALSO what sort of summer traction...

Best regards,
Carl
