Heated seat recall revisited, dealer full of *#$! 850 1997

Hello all,

I posted last week on the heated seat recall campaign, dealer replaced the wiring harness, no heat, still no heat.

Today, I took the car back to the dealer (which is 45 miles from me) to have them check out the heated seats again. They charged me $45 to tell me that the circuit was broken in the actual pad from sitting on it!!!! They would be happy to fix the problem for $215 parts/labor and claim the problem has nothing to do with their work on it although the seats worked before they got a hold of it!!!

Has anyone else had problems with this? You've got to be crazy to think that by sitting on the heated seat will cause the circuit to break, it is a seat, or is it not?

Thanks for the help!
