Using a headset with my S80 Integrated Phones system S80 2003

Here are the instructions I posted for adapting the 5-pin connector to a mini-micro plug for use on virtually all phones.

I didn't buy the Volvo amplifier so I can't advise you about that part.

However if you use another amp, please note these change from the instructions:

1. The MAXIMUM wattage driving the speaker should NOT exceed 8 watts RMS. Therefore, the instructions should be to use an amplifier with 10-20 watts RMS per channel and don't turn the gain past 1/3.

2. If you're using a stereo amplifier, don't bridge. Rather, wire the phone's output to both channels and install a resistor equal to the speaker's impedence (8 ohm / 5-8 watt) on the unused channel.

The system works very well and people tell me that they can't believe I'm calling from the car. Maybe there is a wire loose or another minor problem with yours. I'd check before I undertake this major modification.
