Lacking Power on Hill Climbs 850

My 93' 850 has got about 125,000 miles on the engine. Still runs good, but lacks power on the mountain passes I drive. I have an automatic transmission and have to use the sport mode to keep up with traffic, but that really drive my RPMs go through the roof when I try and maintain the speed limit.... so to speak..... Any ideas on how I might give my engine a little more "pep'? Thanks in advance for any advice....
