Wheel Noise S80 2000

A loud scraping noise just suddenly started comming from the front left wheel (T6 with 17 inch wheels). I didn't drive over anything or bump a curb etc. The noise seems to get a little worse when I turn. It moves with the wheel and is most noticable at lower speeds. It is a combination of scraping and squeeking. I took the wheel off when I got home and could see nothing unusual. Nothing loose, plenty of brake pad left. Any ideas?
