How to fix a door check weld break? 850 1995

Ignore the dealer. Definitely go to a private autobody shop, that has experience with foreign cars, in particular Volvos. My '96 850 GLT wagon needed the door check fixed. The dealer recommended me to local shop they sent all their cars to. He wanted $275. I went to local body shop that did a lot of auto body work on Volvos and they fixed the door for $75. I thinks that's the way to go. Don't let the door go to long in the present condition, because if not fixed it can get much worse and cost more to fix. Good Luck!
