V70 Tailgate Trim still falling down--even after repair kit V70-XC70

Hi,

My 98 V70 tailgate is making major noises despite installing the repair kit. I tried putting pieces of plastic with epoxy on before and it worked longer than the repair kit. The metail edges of the repair kit have given out just as badly as the original plastic rings.

I was thinking I should buy another repair kit and install it so that there would be two metal pieces on each post and that this might hold over the bumpy cottage roads that I have been travelling on recently.

Any advice would be appreciated??/
