No reverse lights - Is a microswitch responsible for this? 850 1996

Greetings,

I posted a few weeks ago regarding my reverse lights waiting 6-10 seconds to come on. Now, they don't come on at all. It was suggested that the PNP switch is going south. There are no other malfunctions or codes, and the bulbs are good.

However, a colleague of mine thinks it may be the microswitch near the shifter. That seems a lot easier to fix than the PNP switch, but whatever needs fixed I will fix.

Any thoughts?

thanks in advance. -Jim
