Is my transmission on the verge of failure? 850

Dear b-boarders.. My 95 turbo with 110k mi has started a scary move lately.. when I kickdown on the highway, or sometimes under other hard acceleration, the trans seems to slip for a second before "blasting off". My atf is at about 20k, so maybe it needs a flush, though I wouldnt think that would cause slipping?

Also, it seems to be more pronounced when the car is turning, even if slightly. Could a CV axle be going out and causing this symptom? it doesn't make any axle noise.

Thanks!
