Steering Issues - 1996 850 Turbo Wagon 850 1996

The steering on my wife's 1996 850 Turbo wagon has about 10 degrees of slack in it when turning in either direction. Additionally, the car feels like it is sliding when in relatively fast (i.e. 55 to 65 mph) cornering situations.

Both are relatively new symptoms that are probably related.

The tires have appx are Michelins and they have appx 10,000 easy miles on them. The car itself has 88,000 miles on it.

Any suggestions or thoughts on the cause and remedy(ies) will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks -

Britt
