In-Dash Cup Holder V70-XC70 2001

Hi!

Just had my 37,500 check-up, where I had them fix my in-dash cup-holder. As mentioned in an earlier post, the ratchetting mechanism was broken on vacation by someone driving my car other than me.

Apparently, there have been so many problems with this, Volvo gave up on the ratchetting mechanism, and replaced it with a similar cup holder, but it doesn't ratchet by design. Instead, there are "rubber" points in the arms to hold a cup (similar to the arm rest cup holders). Not nearly as cool as what I once had.

Plus, it doesnt' look, to me anyway, like it would hold some of the stuff I have most often (a can of pop, a large, skim, no-whip Starbucks mocha). Anyone try this new one out?
