1995 Oil consumption 850

Have 186,500 on a 1995 850 turbo. Losing about 1/2 quarty every oil change (3K to 4K miles), which I'm not surprised about. However, I've noticed a light brown color on the dipstick and on the chamfered portion of the dip stick tube. I'm thinking it may not have been seated at one time and moisture got in there and rusted some of the metal. Or is it possible that bearings are starting to go?? Oil looks good and dark on changes and the magnetic drain plug never has and particle residue on it. Am I just being paranoid due to the miles??

thanks
