Great! A digital photo is a good idea. If you could put a ruler or tape measure next to the template when taking the picture, I would be able to print it to scale.
If you are be willing to mail them, that would really be best. I live on the east coast. I would send them back ASAP. But I realize that's more trouble, so it's up to you. Do you want to continue this via email? My address is drieger@curagen.com
