Transmission problem V70-XC70

I had posted earlier outlining a problem I have with my 2004 V70 automatic.
Upon acceleration from a rolling type stop it suddenly revs up for a second then continues on. A reply on this board mentioned that Volvo knows about the problem but currently has no fix. That response was dead on! I took my car to the dealer and he confirmed that the problem exists(two diagnostic trouble codes VST/VCT I think ) and reaffirmed that Volvo techs at the mothership are aware of the problem and there is no fix yet and I should call back every couple weeks to see if Vovlo has come up a fix. They say no harm will come to the car and it's fine, just accelerate slowly!

I am also pursuing it with Volvo North America with no result yet. My question is: Has anyone else attempted to follow up and what was the result? I find this totally unacceptable and am looking for any ideas. Also what do these codes mean?

Thanks for listening.....tis board is great!
