16' wheels 850

What model year is your 850? I had 2 of mine repaired when I owned the 850. This was a common problem with that car. There was a class-action law suit due to this problem and all of us 850 owners (I think it was limited to '93-'95, but don't quote me) got $500 or a set of new tires because of this a few years ago, and Volvo officially changed their recommended size from 205/50/16 to 205/55/16. If you didn't buy the car recently and didn't get the money/tire offer from Volvo, you might want to contact VNA (Volvo of North America) to see if there was a statute of limitations on this...in other words you might have some mulla coming your way. I chose the money and had my wheels repaired at about $125 each and eventually bought new tires from TireRack. With the new tire size I didn't have any more bent rims after that. I've sold that car now, but have one of those Turbo (5 spoke swirl pattern) left that I bought as a spare when I didn't know when the next rim would get bent. Anyone want to buy it or trade it for a Mimas wheel of the same size (6.5x16)?
