Follow-up to 850 NA manual rev hang problem 850

I put the old idle control valve back in and no longer exprience the rev hang problem when releasing the throttle. Smooth, quick upshifts once again. The surge problem at light throttle I noticed with the new IAC is also gone.

I'm starting to wonder if the new IAC is faulty.

Hey, does anyone know if the the IAC is part of the cruise control system?
