Drive Rack diagnosis V70-XC70 1998

I have noticed a clicking sound as I turn the steering wheel when either stopped and/or moving from a stop. I was told this sounds like a - Drive Rack - problem. There have been no accidents, nor hard hits from under, just normal city and highway driving. There are 190,000kms, mostly highway travel. As misery loves company, has anyone out there had any similiar problems and has any unsung insight?
