850 automatic transmission leaks 850

Hey, just let go of my 740 t wagon and picked up a non turbo 1997 850 wagon. I have some significant automatic transmission oil leakage under car (car only has 54,000 miles)Have transmission leaks been a problem with 850's and other front wheel drive wagons??? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
