ABS activating for no reason 850 1992

This is not normal, and several Volvo mechanics I talked to
point to the ABS wiring. One of them also mentioned a diode
(in the wiring) that should be removed. Normally they change
the contacts to ABS sensors (solder?), if this doesn't help
they change all wiring. Could someone please provide more
information? In particular, I haven't seen any diods in the
wiring diagrams, but that can be year-specific.
