External audio source to stock stereo 850 1994

A fellow Volvo owner on Swedespeed.com wired his own a la Radio Shack. He had to splice into the cable from the cd-6 changer. The catch there is that he has to keep a cd playing in the changer so that the head unit "recognizes" that an audio signal is coming in, thus allowing the aux audio (ipod) to play through.

With the blitz unit plugged in, you can play your aux source without having the cd-6 in place. Now, if you plan to have both a cd-6 and an aux audio source, I think the only way to play either/or is to do some more funky splicing.

The Blitz unit is good mainly if you don't own the factory cd changer. It plug directly into the back of the head unit where the cd changer would plug in.
