vintage volvo colors 850

Greetings to all-my name is Norman Hellman and I am the proud owner of a 1997 Volvo 850 station wagon and a cycling enthusiast. Recently I watched a cycling movie entitled Giro d' Italia(Tour of Italy) 1974. In the movie, a documentary which follows this famous race, Volvo cars were used as support cars for various bicycle racing teams. I was especially interested in one team which had golden yellow Volvo sedans with black tops. This golden yellow was one of the most unusual Volvo colors that I have ever seen.It was not the pale yellow or canary yellow that I have seen on 1970s models. My question is: was this golden yellow color available to the public in Europe or the USA on early 1970s Volvo models?Does anyone have the paint code for this color and was the paint Dupont, PPG, Acme, etc? Does Volvo have a site similar to Jaguar in which paint codes are available for any color that were on vintage Volvo cars for collectors or enthusiasts?Thank you-my e-mail address is: Nhell39123@aol.com.
