Radio/CD Player S80 1999

Hi Marcus!
The thing with the stereos in all P2 is that they have to match the structural week of the car they are installed in, so the protocol of the CAN-net is correct, thats the first "problem". The second "problem" is, the stereo will work, but it won't communicate with the rest of the car, the light in it won't shine, the remote on the steeringwheel won't work and dito the ASC.
You have to go to your local dealer and have him download the right software.
And if you decide to put in an aftermarket unit, you still have to visit the dealer and have him "remove" the old stereo with a SW, or else if in some part of the cars future it need a SW upgrade it will be another "problem", the car won't match up to Volvos database and the download may crash.
I hope this will help you and that you soon will have tunes in your car...

Best regards
Eken
