time for new battery S40-V40

Actually the cranking sounded normal. UPDATE: so I had AAA come out and give me a jump start. The car would start and stay running as long as I was giving it some gas. As soon as I let go of the gas the car would stop running. So it's probably more than the battery. Perhaps it's not the battery at all. Any ideas would could be the problem? I had it towed to the dealer for inspection on Monday.
