Scared about engine on my 850 850 1997

Quote from earlier reply: "If you can see the mount is worn or missing some of the rubber it needs to be replaced, when mine failed i could see right through it from one side to the other. it should be solid and stiff."

This is misleading. The factory mount has spaces in it front and rear. When it breaks it can be anything from cracks in the vertical bars to broken so the center is completely unattached. If in doubt, look at another one. Only some non-Volvo replacements are solid and some folks don't like the harshness they give.
