Hello.......................'97!!! NO Vadis required 850 1997

The Vadis PC doesn't work on cars built before '99 so it won't matter for you if you have a '97 850.
The other diagnostic Volvo tool, the hand held VST is used to read codes and info for '96-'98 Volvos but a generic hand held scan tool can also read any OBD2 codes.
