optional subwoofer V70-XC70 2001

I got the factory subwoofer off ebay without the harness. Then got the harness from volvo w/o instructions. Everything was self explanatory except for a small purple wire that is hot. Any idea where this wire is connected? is it to one of the small holes on the REM?
