optional subwoofer V70-XC70 2001

The way the harness was connected is to both the rear speakers, a ground, a power supply to the fuse block, and an additional purple wire.

The power supply to the fuse block was done by sliding a connector into the back in the correct position (from owner's manual).

I'm sure the last purple wire (very small gauge) turns the amp on and off, but I'm not sure how it does this (ground or positive). My confusion increased when I checked and found it to be hot with the ignition on. That was the extent of my trouble shooting last night.

From the ease that everything else connected I'm sure that there is a simple place to connect this wire, I'm just not sure where.

The appear to be 3 small holes in the back module that the wire might connect to, but I couldn't detect any power or continuity to ground in either of these positions. I tried all ignition positions and radio on / off.
