Re: Replacing Bulbs on a SC-815 850 1996

Hello Everyone,

I have a '96 850 GLT wagon that came with a SC-815 Radio, cassette, CD player. At the botton of the unit, the light that illuminates buttons no, 1, no. 2, and no. 3 has burned out. In the past when the bulbs burned out, I was forced to trade the radio into my local Volvo dealer for a re-manufactured unit. This swap cost several hundred dollars. I have been told you cannot open this unit up to replace the bulbs, but must swap it. This is the 2nd or 3rd time I have had to swap this radio because of burned out bulbs. I live in Fairfield, Connecticut. Does anybody know of a shop that could replace the burned out bulbs in this radio so I don't have to swap it again? Thanks in advance to all who reply.
