Slight engine rattle while in park S60 2002

Help...I've started to hear a slight rattle in the engine when I first turn the car on. It's less noticeable after driving for a while. I can also hear the rattle when I shift to reverse and then to drive. However, once I hit the gas pedal the rattle goes away. Any idea what this might be? Could it be the valves?
