Replacement engine for '95 850 Turbo 850

Hi everyone,

I have the unfortunate task of replacing the engine in my '95 850 Turbo as the original one is completely shot. What is the going price for a new and used engine to fit this vehicle? Performing a casual Google search I found an average price 0f $1900(I believe the '93-'97 models all used the same type). Also, what kind of labor costs am I looking at to install the new engine? I've had quotes ranging from $1200 to $2000. The mechanic who quoted the $1200 in labor said he would call his "parts guy" to locate an engine here in Atlanta but I am also trying to locate one on my own. Does anyone have a suggestion for a source in the greater Atlanta area or a reliable online vendor? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
