Cracked oil pan, HELP 850 1997

Greetings,
My wifes volvo just started leaking oil, and a big, bad leak it is. I got under the car, cleaned it up, and there it is. The oil pan has a crack in it. It looks like we ran over something and it hit the bottom of the pan. Other that replacing the pan, can I use something like JB weld, or maybe get someone to weld a patch over the break?
The crack is about 1 inch long, and it is not a big hole, just a "puncture wound". I realise that I need to replace the pan, and I plan to, just not this weekend. I am looking for a quick, temp fix that will hold for a few weeks.
Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. I can take some digital photos and post them if they would help.

Thanks,
Stuart
