The Automatic Transmision fix is available,,, finally! V70-XC70 2003

I brought my V-70 w/5,000 miles to the dealer today, for the common problem. (1)The auto trans. occasionally doesn't pick-up 3rd gear(slips),(2) hunts for the right gear after coasting downhill.
I was expecting the dealer to blow me-off, but belive it or not, The Mothership has delivered the fix, all the way from Sweden. The Software update arrived yesterday (11/25/03) it's so new the dealers don't even have the paperwork. I was the 1st customer to receive the update @ my Volvo dealer.
I'll give you the #'s he put on my repair order

There was also a note that say's: "can take anywhere from 70 - 3,000 miles to self-adept".
This is NOT the same upgrade they have been doing for the S-80's, it's strictly for the V-70's w/the Japanese 5-speed(auto).
