Service Light S60 2001

Based in North America, I tried the method advised, without luck, and spotted an interesting posting in the S40 section that almost worked ... but after a few tries here is a method that worked successfully:

Put key in ignition
Moved key to position II
pressed and held the Trip Odometer Reset
Moved key to position III (do not start car)
All the warning lights illuminate, eventually the Service Light flashes (5 times)
Let go of the Trip Odometer Reset before the flashing stops (took me a few tries, first flash too early, 5th flash too late!!!)

And Voila ... no more Service Light ... its been stareing at me for 3500kms ... I might miss my old friend!!
